Practical 6!

i did a search on impacts of peer pressure on youth behavior but i did not get any results. So i tried a search on peer pressure and...
i got back 6655 results and most of them were articles which comes with citations. I read through a few of them and i feel that they are not relevant to my topic and is of no help to my research.
After that, i explored another database, factiva
"a database for global news and business information from newspaper, trade publications, news photo, news wires & media transcripts. Excellent source of company research which includes financial statements and ratios, list of key competitors, trade articles, analyst report & more.."
and i tried typing impacts of peer pressure of youth behavior in it and it didnt work as well, so i tried peer pressure instead.
i had a couple of pages of results and most of them from information from newspaper all over the world. I find it rather irrelevant to my topic of research but if i have the time i would read up on these news as i find them rather interesting because it is news from other countries, one can gain more general knowledge from these databases.
I think its more effective to use search engine, meta search engine and subject directories than the databases as the information i get from there are more accurate and related to what i need for my research. But however, if i want to increase the efficiency of my research, i would do a search on database as well as i want my content to be more specific in details.
For my wiki experience, I had seen some of my course-mates posts on wiki and i find them rather interesting as we are doing on the same topic, yet our views are far apart from each other. Wiki has become a platform for me to learn more about other's people views and in my free time, i would look at updates of other topics as well.
